Lozells Methodist Community Centre

After a very long renovation, the Lozells Methodist Community Centre was finally opened with pomp and pagentry with a list of weeekend long activities from an official opening ceremony on the 4th of March, 2011. This was followed by an ‘Open Day’ on the 5th, to show off our facilities to our present and future.

At the official opening ceremonies, the tape was cut by chilren who were part of the funding bid to rebuild the centre. This was followed by speeches by various prominent people  in the Lozells community and from the Methodist church.

The New Lozells Methodist Church Centre provides an array of community based services to the people of Lozells and it’s environs. After a £600,000 facelift, the centre can now boast of a couple of multi- function rooms to hire in Lozells, Auditorium/Hall hire in Lozells (with a capacity to sit at least 100 people). There is also a dance studio for hire, modern kithcen facilities, with toilet facilities for all ages and genders, the disabled and baby change facilities for infants.

Also in the building are, a large church hall, a large dance studio for hire,  two music studios, a resource room with internet connected computers, a printer and, a large photocopier. A  ‘chill zone’ for young children (with also doubles as a meeting room and eating area because, of it’s proximity to the kitchen.

The auditorium as mentioned before, can sit 100 comfortably, with a brand new air conditioning system, a hundred cushioned chairs plus 12 large tables (2.5″ x 72″), an ultra modern projector system for presentations and movies. Did we mention that the auditorium is also sound proofed with, a refurbished floor dating

back to the inception of the Lozells Methodist church.
