The Church building is a Grade II listed building, erected in 1892. With the worshipping congregation remaining at the heart of our Church we have also housed since 1985 various community organisations (please see our resident organisations link) and our building has become a multi-purpose centre.
The resident organisations deliver a myriad of services to the local community for free or a nominal fee. These services include various youth clubs, drop in sessions, homework support, personal development programmes, computer and internet access sessions, holiday play schemes, older peoples meeting clubs providing social and craft activities, arts education training programmes including dance and movement classes, a theatre group which tackles social issues through drama workshops, and activities for all ages to celebrate diversity and promote cultural harmony.
Our vision is of a society where opportunity is open to all. It is our mission to initiate and facilitate projects that enable all people, particularly the young to achieve their full potential and safeguard them from negative influences affecting their lives.
As part of a Feasibility Study produced in 2003 plans were drawn up to develop a range of new facilities for the benefit of the local community. Since then we have successfully raised over € 250,000 to pay for a complete new roof, € 26,500 to refurbish 4 toilet areas and just under € 500,000 to
We are currently looking into the costs and drawing up of plans for a dance studio upgrade to include showers as well as a faclift of the building externally.
